Ladies Defensive Tactics with Jan Morgan is just around the corner!

To ensure your safety and make your stay comfortable:

  1. Upon arrival onto the property no sooner than 12noon - all firearms and ammo should be locked in a firearms container and kept in your vehicle until you are instructed to retrieve it from your vehicle.  Again - DO NOT BRING  YOUR  FIREARMS TO THE REGISTRATION  AREA OR ANY PORTION OF THE PROPERTY UPON  ARRIVAL

  1. You will receive a firearms safety briefing at the start of the camp.  When completed, you will be instructed to retrieve your firearm and ammo from your vehicle.

  2.  After completing the Firearms Safety Briefing, you will be instructed to bring your firearm into the building – LOCKED in its container for a firearms check. by your Certified Instructors.

  3. The firearm should be Unloaded with the Slide Locked  Open or Cylinder Open and Magazine Removed from the gun.

  4. Firearms and ammunition should always remain in a locked container at camp.  When it is time for your live-fire lesson at the range you will be instructed to bring your gun and ammunition to the firing range in the locked container, again, cleared with slide open.  (You will be instructed as to when you may holster your firearm.)

  5. Bring your own ear and eye protection.

  6. Bring the handgun that you are most comfortable with or that you carry for self-protection

  7.  Bring 100 – 200 rounds of ammunition.

  8. Bring at least 2 magazines.   Your magazines will have to be in a magazine belt holder  or  fit in your jean pocket as you will switch out magazines during tactical maneuvers.

  9. A belted  holster is necessary that secures your firearm when you are moving.  Leggings not made for firearms tend to sag under the weight of a firearm and are not secure.  Jeans are better.

(You DO NOT need boxing gloves. And you DO NOT need knee pads or punching mitts.)

     The outdoor range is a grassy area outside of the sleeping quarters and is relatively flat and free of brush, rocks, etc. Remember, however, you always need closed-toe shoes for shooting.

It is grass, so if you need bug spray, bring it.

It could be cold in the evenings especially, so bring a hoodie or a jacket to stay warm around the fire pit at social time.  (Hoodies and T-Shirts are usually for sale from Combatives Camp on the last day). Please provide your T-Shirt size upon registration to Combatives Camp and also to hotshotznationaldirector@gmail.com two weeks before camp, we will have a 2A Women Camp Shirt and hats for sale, Which will be $20 each

Bring comfortable tennis shoes for inside classes, we take shoes off sometimes for work on mats so;

Bring socks for the mats.  Indoor work is a T-Shirt and leggings or comfortable exercise clothes. (Jeans with rivets not allowed on mats)  Comfortable outdoor clothes and closed-toe shoes for the outdoor firing range, keep in mind cartridges can eject sporadically so you will want to wear clothes that do not scoop neck, etc.

     Bedding is provided, but you are welcome to bring a sleeping bag and pillow if you want. Towels are provided.   Bring your own toothpaste, soap, shampoo, makeup, deodorant, snacks, water, etc.
