Phil grew up in Lead Hill, AR, and lives in Bergman, AR today. He is a US Army Veteran of 3 years and has a Bachelor of Arts Degree from the College of the Ozarks.

Phil served with the Harrison, AR Police Dept. from 1992-2000 in the capacities as patrol officer, school resource officer and also as a certified firearms instructor.

Phil is a current active member of the International Defensive Pistol Association (IDPA) and he currently holds the classification of Expert in the semi-auto pistol division and serves as a certified range safety officer.
Phil has received multiple awards while shooting in various local, regional, and state IDPA matches.
He is also a member of the Arkansas Combat Pistol League (ACPL), located in Berryville, AR as well as a member of the National Rifle Association.

Phil currently holds and promotes monthly pistol shoots for the community to encourage and reinforce safe weapon handling skills while at the same time promoting marksmanship skills without defensive handgun.
Phil is currently employed at FedEx Freight in Harrison, AR.

He is married to his beautiful wife Gina, (formerly Margina Clarkson) and has four children; David Kelly, Tessa Daniels, Steve Souers, and Katie Allen. They also have four grandchildren; Boone, Sammie Jo, Remi, and Nora.

Phil is an avid shooter and passionate about the shooting sports and always does whatever he can to promote and teach safe gun handling skills to anyone who is interested in becoming more proficient with their handgun.
